Henry Clark (About 1626-?)
We don’t know when or where Henry Clarke was born, but we do know that he married Janet Hutchison. We know it was before their son, John, was born in 1664 because on John’s birth record it states that he is their “lawful” son, as opposed to him being their “natural” son [meaning he would be an illegitimate child]. On John’s birth record, the witnesses were “James Hutchison” older and younger. So we can assume that Janet’s father and brother are named James. I have no other information on Janet and Henry Clark. But it is interesting to note that the Hutchison name was a part of Clan MacDonald, and on the map of clan names there is a MacDonald region that lies between the Cameron and McPherson clans in Inverness-shire.
